About East Harlem Business Collective
The East Harlem Business Collective is a program of Hope Community, Inc., a nonprofit founded in 1968 to serve the people who live and work in East Harlem and its surrounding neighborhoods. Through affordable housing development, cultural arts programming, and social service partnerships, Hope Community has remained committed to the neighborhood's growth.
The Business Collective continues this mission by focusing on economic empowerment. We work to strengthen East Harlem’s small business landscape, provide support services to local entrepreneurs, and foster community-led revitalization—all while preserving the rich cultural identity of El Barrio.
Whether through beautification initiatives, public events, or business grants, we believe that a stronger East Harlem starts with stronger local businesses.
